CRIT CLUB

Role: Brand Designer, Art Director
Year: 2025

Crit Club is a Freeze Magazine initiative designed to bring artists, critics, and audiences together for open discussion  and constructive critique. For this edition, the aim  was to spark conversation by framing questions and perspectivess through the lens of a political compass. Encouraging follwoers to reflect on  their own positions and engage with diverse viewpoints.

I developed the visual concept and execution for the campaign, creating a system that was clear, shareable, and visually distinctive in the fast-paced social media environment and  in physical event spaces.

The challenge was to create a system that worked seamlessly across digital and physical formats from Instagram posts to on-site signage. While retaining clarity and recognisability. I used a striking blue and orange colour palette to ensure high contrast and visibility, paired with clean typography for legibility at different scales.

The campaign extended beyond social media into on-site posters placed throughout the venue and a large exterior banner displayed on the building’s façade, turning the event location itself into a branded touchpoint. This integration ensured that the campaign connected with audiences before they entered the space and reinforced the identity once they were inside.

The result was a visually cohesive and highly visible campaign that amplified Crit Club’s presence both online and on-site. By unifying social content, event signage, and exterior branding, the design created a clear, memorable entry point for participants and passersby alike.
