I was responsible for developing the full brand identity, social media strategy, and both online and offline communication assets. The logo takes inspiration from the name “Nha Lua,” which means “my moon” in Guinea-Bissau Creole. A central circular form symbolizes the phases of the moon as well as the three key stages of the menstrual cycle — follicular, ovulation, and luteal. The design reflects ideas of protection, rhythm, and shared experience, aligning with Nha Lua’s mission to foster community and support.

Alongside the visual identity, I created a fundraising and awareness video that follows the stories of women at three different life stages — childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Capturing the often unspoken realities of menstruation. Set against the backdrop of Guinea-Bissau, the film challenges menstrual stigma and calls for collective action and empathy.

The campaign successfully raised $7,000 and is now receiving continued support from the United Nations Development Programme (PNUD).
