One Court Africa is the inaugural 4 day immersive experience in Marrakech, where NBA players explore impact investing, entrepreneurship, and saistainability across Africa. Set agaisnt Morocco’s vibrant architectural and artisstic landscape, the event merges basketball, culture, and global impact, creating a platform where sport meets meaningful storytelling.
I led the creation of a visual identity that balanced the NBPA’s established brand with Moroccan cultural storytelling.
By designing immersive elements for the event, ensuring that every touchpoint, from environmental graphics to installations communicated the narrative of One Court Africa.
The challenge was to merge a globally recognized sports identity with the textures, colors, and patterns inspired by Morocco, creating a cohesive yet dynamic experience. I explored motifs, typography, and color palettes that would honor the region’s cultural heritage while keeping the visuals modern, clean, and impactful. The experiential design included event graphics, environmental branding, and interactive elements that guided players and guests through the story of One Court Africa.
In addition to the event branding, I developed a custom deck template for the NBPA team. This template extended the event’s visual identity into a flexible tool for presentations, partner pitches, and internal communications. Designed for ease of use, it allowed the team to adapt content while maintaining visual consistency across multiple touchpoints before, during, and after the event.
The outcome was a visually compelling and culturally resonant identity that enhanced the event experience. One Court Africa successfully connected basketball, culture, and impact on a global stage, and the branding created an immersive environment that left a lasting impression on both attendees and organizers.
